Field near Loudon, Loudon County, Tennessee
Two hunters were crossing an open field in East Tennessee at last light after concluding their hunt when they noticed a figure approaching them from across the field. As it drew closer they identified it as a large bipedal creature with a distinctly canine head — describing it as 'a werewolf or a Dogman.' One of the hunters fired a single shot at the creature, after which it disappeared instantaneously — not retreating into cover but simply vanishing. The witness wrote: 'this thing just poof… gone in a flash of light.' The account was submitted as a written confession to The Confessionals podcast and is notable for the reported instantaneous disappearance.

Cherokee National Forest, Bradley/McMinn County area, Tennessee
A resident of a small isolated community in southeast Tennessee near Cherokee National Forest reported multiple recurring encounters with a creature described as having the skeletal build of a tall human, a dog's head, and patches of mange-like fur over visible bone structure. The witness emphasized the creature's extreme running speed and the gaunt, almost wasted appearance of its frame between the overtly canine head and the human proportions of its limbs. The repeated nature of the sightings on what appears to be a regular route suggests territorial behavior. The account was collected by Dogman Encounters and is among the more physically unusual descriptions in the Tennessee archive.

Shady Valley, Johnson County, Tennessee
A witness known by the pseudonym 'Hondo,' a former special forces operative, reported a prolonged and escalating encounter with a Dogman in the mountains above Shady Valley, a remote community at 2,785 feet elevation between Holston Mountain and the Iron Mountains near the Virginia border. Hondo described the creature employing what he recognized as flanking and stalking tactics consistent with military close-quarters techniques, charging and circling him repeatedly over approximately nine minutes. He told Dogman Encounters Radio that despite his combat background the encounter came close to 'frightening him to death.' He returned for follow-up encounters in the same area, which he described as progressively more dangerous.
