Surrey Puma Sightings
1 documented sighting across Surrey and the Home Counties, England.
Lane near Heathy Park Reservoir, Farnham, Surrey, England
Water board worker Ernest Jellett was walking toward Heathy Park Reservoir when a large cat chasing a rabbit came straight toward him down the lane. He shouted and the animal bounded into the undergrowth. Jellett described a flat, round face, a long thin tail, and large paws — consistent with a puma. Surrey Police took the report seriously, investigated the lane, and found a patch of flattened undergrowth where a large animal had been lying. This sighting is considered the first official Surrey Puma report.
